The Day the Charter Was Filed

Vision, if it is to endure, must eventually take form. There comes a moment when what has been stirring in the heart can no longer remain there. It must move beyond conviction into structure, beyond calling into commitment.

In September 1976, Christian Veterinary Mission was officially chartered. It may not have felt like a spiritual milestone. There were no crowds and no fanfare. There were just documents, signatures, processes, and the resolve that a mustard seed had started to take root!

But these artifacts of resolution, which were needed to form CVM, mattered. Because what had begun as obedience now required stewardship, and what had been carried by a few now needed to be sustained for many.

Structure is not the enemy of faith. In the right hands, it is the vessel that carries it further than passion alone ever could. Governance brings clarity, accountability builds trust, and systems, when aligned with purpose, protect what God has begun.

Friends, faith often starts in the unseen, but it must be stewarded in the seen. The CVM movement had taken root, and now it would need to grow, wisely, intentionally, and with integrity.

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” — Luke 16:10

> Structure sustains vision. What vision of faith is stirring in you?
